Assistant Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery

The Assistant Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level and coordination of direct and indirect patient care at the hospital wide level. They are responsible for shift or program specific operations of the hospital for the provision of effective patient care, including cost control, personnel management, quality improvement, direct and indirect patient care, and mentoring and advising on the assessment of health needs, development, and implementation of the plan of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required within 5 years of hire
• Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience preferred
• Prior demonstrated nursing leadership preferred
• Current RN licensure in applicable state required
• Unit/Dept. specific required certifications
• Ability to perform basic nursing skills on groups of patients
• Ability to assume charge responsibility
• Ability to multitask and prioritize quickly
• Ability to administer medication utilizing the five rights
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to successfully complete Leader Education Training
