Job Description
The Facility Maintenance Tech III provides skilled mechanic functions to maintain the integrity and operability of the buildings and grounds of UVA Medical Central and other affiliated facilities. The position requires the ability to effectively interact with all facility stakeholders and work independently with a minimum of supervision.
Requirements
- High school or GED required
- Minimum of 6 years of experience performing plant operations and general maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar facility or similar work environment required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing
- Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority
