At Valeo Foods UK, we're looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead and promote a safe working environment and to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and delivering training to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge of health and safety legislation, accident and near miss reporting and root cause analysis
- Logistics experience gained in a fast-paced warehouse environment, preferably within food manufacturing and working alongside 3rd party logistics providers
- Previous leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives in line with our values and behaviors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers
- Prior experience in setting and managing a cost centre to deliver the budget
- Understanding key performance indicators (KPIs) and the ability to implement initiatives to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Ability to create and maintain standard operating procedures within a document-controlled process
- Prior experience of IFS is an advantage or knowledge of alternative WMS/ERP systems
- Proficient user of Microsoft office applications including Excel, Word, Team and Outlook
- A counterbalance truck license or, the ability to pass our inhouse assessment to operate one
