Vanderlande's Distribution Engineering Department is responsible for the design, specification, and commissioning of Material Handling Systems, Warehouse Automation and Parcel Sortation systems for our customers throughout North America.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to support the North American Distribution Team at Vanderlande. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, specifying, and commissioning material handling systems, warehouse automation, and parcel sortation systems for customers throughout North America.
Requirements
- Translate customer drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system
- Optimize the functionality from as-sold to a working mechanical design within the budget
- Perform spatial analysis of clearance envelopes, egress pathways and forklift vehicular aisles
- Perform system and component level calculations
- Engineering of project specials needed for non-standard design applications
- Document all engineering decisions through design plans, complete and clear installation files, and engineering instructions
