Senior Software Engineer, Design Systems

Requirements

• Build, maintain, and update existing shared UI components
• Be a leader for and advise on UI/UX best practices and standards at Vanta
• Educate all engineers in UX and industry standards and best practices, our Design System guidance, and how to implement in code
• Drive technical direction within your team and make key technical decisions
• Mentor and uplevel more junior teammates
• Minimum 5-8 years of industry experience with deep expertise in frontend engineering, design systems, and accessibility
• Proven ability to drive complex technical initiatives independently
• Extensive experience building shared UI components and developer tooling
• Proficiency in system design and software architecture, with an emphasis on user experience and accessibility standards
• Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, component architecture, state management, and frontend performance optimization
• Demonstrated leadership through mentoring teammates, driving technical decisions, and influencing engineering standards
