Senior Software Engineer, Generative AI

Varicent is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of GenAI features, collaborate with technical leads and senior stakeholders, and maintain technical quality and scalability across a feature area. The role involves owning AI-enabled components end-to-end, delivering measurable improvements in quality and reliability, and mentoring teammates through design feedback, code reviews, and practical guidance.

Requirements

• 6+ years in software engineering.
• 3+ years building and shipping production software in product teams.
• Bachelor’s in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and system design.
• Hands-on coding in Python and/or TypeScript (or similar), APIs/services, data pipelines.
• Cloud experience, CI/CD, automated testing, observability; engineers own quality without dedicated QA.
• Experimentation mindset: define metrics, build evals, iterate quickly; willingness to learn GenAI rapidly.
