Job Description
Vast is a rapidly growing company focused on building artificial gravity space stations. They are seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the development of systems for the design and build of space stations. The role involves defining key performance metrics, streamlining processes, and providing data-driven insights to improve efficiency and accountability. This is a full-time, exempt position in Long Beach.
Requirements
- Define key performance metrics for each work center
- Identify process bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate floor plans and act as a primary authority on space station layouts
- Provide actionable data to hold teams and leaders accountable
- Manage production efficiency and schedule/rate reviews with supply chain, quality, and manufacturing leaders
- Support ad-hoc projects and operational challenges
