At Vast, our mission is to contribute to a future where billions of people are living and thriving in space. Vast is developing next-generation space stations to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. We are looking for a Master Scheduler to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule for environmental test to balance program demand with test capacity, equipment availability, and hardware readiness.
- Coordinate with technical project managers and Engineering to align environmental test schedules with Haven-1 program milestones and critical path activities.
- Partner with the Master Scheduler of Avionics Manufacturing to ensure hardware readiness and seamless transitions from manufacturing to environmental test.
- Track test equipment availability, test rack configuration, technician capacity, and facility readiness required to support scheduled environmental test activities.
- Identify and escalate scheduling conflicts including hardware delays, test equipment unavailability, configuration discrepancies, documentation gaps, or resource constraints that impact the environmental test schedule.
- Coordinate with Environmental Test and Engineering teams to align test priorities, equipment allocation, and resource scheduling with the master production schedule.
- Generate weekly reports providing visibility into environmental test schedule adherence, hardware flow-through, test completion rates, and capacity utilization.
- Maintain accurate schedule data within ERP and tracking systems including planned environmental test activities, test sequences, hardware status, and test results.
- Work with Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure test materials, consumables, and support equipment are available to support scheduled environmental test activities.
- Lead problem-solving sessions with cross-functional teams to resolve environmental test schedule conflicts, prioritize competing demands, and develop recovery plan.
