Job Description
Vast is a company building artificial gravity space stations and is seeking a Senior Tooling Engineer. This role focuses on the engineering of fixtures, tooling, and materials for complex spacecraft assembly, ensuring safety, precision, and quality. The engineer will work with Project Managers and Engineers to define requirements, model designs, and troubleshoot production issues, supporting the smooth launch of Haven-1 and furthering humanity's goals of reaching space.
Requirements
- Own the design, activation, implementation, and fabrication support of fixtures and tooling.
- Partner with Integration and Manufacturing teams to define vehicle integration flow and tooling interfaces.
- Perform mechanical analysis for spacecraft fixtures.
- Develop operation and maintenance plans.
- Coordinate tooling modifications.
