Job Description
Veeco is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on complex wafer processing equipment involving ion beam etch, ion beam deposition, chemical and physical vapor deposition technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience with Solidworks, Inventor, Creo, or similar 3D CAD systems, finite element analysis, and semiconductor equipment design.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience or an MS degree with 6 years of experience
- Experience with Solidworks, Inventor, Creo, or similar 3D CAD systems
- Finite element analysis experience
- Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment design
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
