Quality Engineer

Venus Aerospace is revolutionizing rocket engine propulsion with a proprietary rotating detonation rocket engine. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure the quality, precision, and consistency of machined and manufactured components. The role involves developing and maintaining quality systems and tools to drive continuous improvement in production operations, and partnering with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance within a machining or precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of CNC machining processes, GD&T interpretation, and precision measurement tools.
• Experience with inspection equipment (CMM, surface profilometers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.).
• Experience with inspection software including PC-DMIS, Zeiss, PolyWorks, etc.
• Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, SPC, RCCA, and 8D problem solving.
• Proficiency with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) and related documentation practices.
• Hands-on experience with machine shop environments.
