We are looking for a CAD Engineer to join our growing Technical Direction Water Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and developing conceptual designs into CAD drawings, producing BOM listings, and collaborating with Project teams to create and manage BIM Models.
Requirements
- Previous CAD experience 2D & 3D
- Experience with creating P&ID & layout drawings, ideally within the UK water/wastewater sector
- Experience working in the UK Water Industry with knowledge of modelling water/wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated mechanical, electrical, and piping systems (MEP)
- Experience in producing designs for both above-ground (non-infrastructure) and below-ground (infrastructure) water assets
- Experience using LiDAR data within CAD models
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Knowledge of CDM (Construction (Design and Management) Regulations) and applying the principles of designing for safety
- Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit & other relevant CAD Software
- Experience with GIS software and the integration of geospatial data with CAD models
- Knowledge of BIM processes & standards (ISO 19650)
- Experience with Common Data Environments
- Understanding of the asset data lifecycle and experience in preparing models and drawings for digital handover
- Familiarity with UK water company specifications and standards
- Strong communication skill & ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects & prioritise workload
- Able to adapt to new technologies & software as required
