The Epoxy Technician will prepare surfaces for epoxy application, mix epoxy systems, apply epoxy systems, and inspect finished epoxy applications. The technician will also follow all SOPs, work instructions, safety policies, and quality standards to ensure consistent and compliant epoxy installations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2β5 years of experience working as an Epoxy Technician, Coatings Technician, or in a similar industrial coatings or manufacturing role
- Demonstrated knowledge of epoxy systems, resins, hardeners, surface preparation methods, and curing processes
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, technical data sheets (TDS), safety data sheets (SDS), and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Basic math skills for measuring, mixing ratios, and material calculations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to learn new epoxy systems, equipment, and application techniques
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Forklift, lift equipment, or industrial equipment experience preferred (or willingness to be trained)
