Job Description
Join VIA Rail and be part of a collective effort in sustainable mobility. We are implementing an advanced train control program (ETC - Enhanced Train Control) and seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the definition of functional and technical requirements, high-level system architecture, interface management, and technical governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; licensed engineer in good standing with the Order of Engineers of Quebec (or equivalent P. Eng.)
- More than 10 years of experience in railway signaling and train control systems
- Solid knowledge of ETCS, ATP, PTC, and DAS systems; experience in CBTC and ATO (an asset)
- Demonstrated experience in complex, multidisciplinary, and matrix project environments
- Strong leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills; bilingualism in French and English (oral and written)
- Availability for professional travel, as needed
