We are looking for a Quality Engineer to perform quality inspection and audit of rail equipment, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and implement quality department procedures. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, knowledge of Kaizen quality tools, and experience with dimensional measurement processes.
Requirements
- Secondary 5 or baccalaureate in quality, mechanics, industry or similar discipline
- 5-10 years experience in a similar role
- Implementation of Kaizen quality tools
- Dimensional measurement process, classical tools and CMM
- Good knowledge on reading drawings, geometrical dimension and tolerancing (GD&T) ASME 14.5
- Strong computer knowledge, in particular Microsoft Word, Power Point, Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual (oral and written), with strong competencies for technical writing
- Available to travel on an occasional basis
- Mainly on day shift, but could work on evening and night shifts
