Mechanic

As a Mechanic at SAM by Via, you will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on buses, automotive equipment, and shop equipment. Our mission is to have a positive social and economic impact on the community by providing a safe and reliable transportation option for all who live, work, or play in Sioux Falls.

Requirements

• Direct highly varied and complex operations related to vehicle and equipment service
• Repair and/or replace any subsystem associated with heavy, medium, and/or light duty SAM coaches and automotive equipment
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Possess knowledge of the design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of systems and subsystems of SAM coaches and related shop equipment
• Possess excellent manual dexterity
• High school diploma or GED equivalent, including trade or vocational school
• Hold a valid SD driver's license
• Able to obtain a CDL permit
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical
• Pass a drug screening and background check
• Able to apply in person at the Sioux Area Metro office
