Optical Testing Engineer

VIAVI is a global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions. We are seeking an Optical Testing Engineer with experience in optical systems and technologies, automation, and optical analysis tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with optical test equipment, metrology, and calibration methods.
• Proficiency in software development or scripting in Python and LabVIEW.
• Experience with various testing equipment and the ability to develop and set up testing solutions and automation.
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism.
• Experience with the following types of products: EDFAs, free-space optics, lasers, attenuators, optical spectrum analyzers, optical filters, polarization-maintaining fibers, polarimeters, optical power meters, and passive optical components.
