Job Description
Operates spraying equipment, spreads chemicals, and performs related work to control turf and ornamental pests.
Requirements
- Interprets soil, water, and air conditions to determine proper pesticide types and quantities
- Recognizes and treats various causative agents of fungi and pest infestation
- Applies poisons for rodent control and other animal pests
- Mixes pesticides and applies preventive and curative after infestation
- Operates and maintains assigned equipment
- Drives a truck and maintains a truck inventory of materials and supplies
- Follows up on resident complaints and corrects problems
- Works effectively with coworkers, customers, and others
- Maintains a valid California driver's license and California Structural Pest Control Board Qualified Applicator's License
- Passes respiratory pulmonary function test and annual medical examination
