Job Description
The Village of Brookfield Parks and Recreation Department is hiring Camp Counselors for Camps Kiwanis, GREAT, or Teen. Under the direction of the Camp Sites Supervisor, the Camp Counselor will assist with supervision of campers, ensuring their safety and fulfilling the goals of the camp. The position involves helping with day-to-day planning, organizing, and implementing of camp activities, taking attendance, maintaining cleanliness of camp areas, and more.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- No previous experience is required, but knowledge in camp program area or having worked with kids is strongly preferred.
- Ability to interact with children and teach them in a fun, interactive way.
- Must be personable and comfortable speaking to children, parents, staff, and public of all ages and backgrounds.
