The Care Guide position is responsible for leading and coaching the CNA and Nurse teams at Woodland Park Houses, including communication and healthy conflict management, and providing support for CNA and Nurse orientation and their continued growth.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice nursing as an RN or LPN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Past demonstrated supervisory, coaching, and support skills with personal care staff
- Previous experience in Long Term Care/SNF required
- MDS, RAI, and care plan experience is preferred but not required
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively while maintaining a professional working relationship with the Director of Nursing, physicians, employees, families, and the public
- Knowledgeable and passionate about geriatrics and long-term care
- Ability to supervise, coach, coordinate, and effectively lead the activities of others
- Must possess a command of the English language, both written and spoken; able to communicate orally, in writing, and through presentation effectively
