AI Architect

Mercer is seeking an AI Architect to design and govern the enterprise AI architecture underpinning Mercer's Employee Digital Twin platform. This role is responsible for defining how AI, machine learning, semantic models, and data platforms work together to create a trusted, explainable, and scalable digital representation of employees.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML architecture, data platforms, or enterprise systems design
• Proven experience architecting large-scale AI systems beyond isolated models
• Strong expertise in ML and Generative AI architectures, RAG systems, vector stores, and AI orchestration
• Semantic models and knowledge-based reasoning
• Deep understanding of AI lifecycle management (MLOps) and production deployment patterns
• Experience architecting secure, multi-tenant enterprise platforms
• Ability to translate complex AI systems into clear architectural guidance for leadership and delivery teams
