Sr. Manager, Software Engineering (10 to 14 years exp)

Visa is seeking a Sr. Manager, Software Engineering with 10 to 14 years of experience to lead technical teams and provide technical leadership for product offerings within the Value Added Services team. As a Senior Manager, you will provide technical leadership, drive technical discussions and decisions, and write code. The role requires a minimum of 10+ years of experience in application development/engineering using Java backend development with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and relevant technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in application development/engineering using Java backend development with strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and relevant technologies.
• At least 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager/Tech Lead directly managing a team of Individual Contributors, planning and supporting their career development.
• Experience working with Agile process and principles.
• Ability to communicate equally effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Modern Cloud-Native architectures and practices.
• TDD, BDD, and Contract testing.
• Proven delivery of well-tested, scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant solutions.
• Having worked in a collaborative environment where you are comfortable reviewing code of your peers.
• Strong experience in Microservice architecture, Containers Orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker etc.),
