Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care given by family members or other caregivers. HHA assignments may include home health aide, meals preparation, ambulation assistance, or treatment support depending on the plan of care. Requirements

• Perform personal care activities as outlined in a written assignment.
• Maintain patient hygiene and provide comfort.
• Assist with ambulation, treatment, and comfort measures.
• Interpret temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Complete 12+ hours of training per year.
• Successfully complete a competency evaluation program.
• Demonstrate ability to travel.
• Assist in lifting and transferring patients.
