Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care to hospice patients, performing duties such as home health assistance, meal preparation, and assisting with treatments. They are responsible for specific assigned activities, and will follow a written plan of care. The role involves direct patient interaction, observation, and report of any changes in patient condition.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
• Successfully completed a Competency Evaluation program
• State Allowable Training/Certification
