The Chaplain provides pastoral care interventions, including pastoral counseling, to patients, families, caregivers, and staff. The chaplain seeks excellence in pastoral care, requiring authentic demeanor, compassion, and skill in dealing with spiritual dynamics of illness, loss, and death.
Requirements
- Ordination or Commission to function in a ministry of pastoral care
- 5 years of pastoral experience, 2 years in a clinical setting preferred
- A minimum of 1 unit (400 hours) of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree required
- Commitment to professional growth and development
- Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
