The Chaplain provides pastoral care interventions, including pastoral counseling, to meet the spiritual needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff. The role requires authentic demeanor, compassion and skill in dealing with the spiritual dynamics of illness, loss and death.
Requirements
- Ordination or Commission to function in a ministry of pastoral care
- 5 years of pastoral experience (2 years in a clinical setting)
- 1 unit (400 hours) of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalencies
