Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care provided by family members or other caregivers. They perform detailed, specific tasks as outlined in an assignment, including hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation, and assistance with treatments. Training is required and includes documentation based on competency evaluations.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Meets personnel qualifications for Home Health Aide
• Documented evidence of 75 hours of training
• Documented evidence of successful Competency Evaluation program
• State Allowable Training/Certification (CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CHI, TN)
