VITAS Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care. Responsibilities include performing hygiene, preparing meals, ambulating patients, and assisting with treatment. Home Health Aides complete training and may not perform certain tasks not specified in the plan of care.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36
- Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation program as specified in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36 (b)
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI)
- Ability to travel.
