VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care services to hospice patients, augmenting care given by family or caregivers. Tasks include assisting with personal hygiene, meals, ambulation, treatments, and patient monitoring. This role requires training, documentation, and adherence to safety protocols within a healthcare setting.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36
- Successfully completed Competency Evaluation program
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT, and Homemaker-Home Health Aide)
