Job Description
VITAS is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care to hospice patients, augmenting care provided by family members or caregivers. HHA assignments may include hygiene assistance, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and treatment guidance. The position requires adherence to written assignments and a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
- Successfully completed Competency Evaluation program
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT)
- Ability to travel within job requirements
- Ability to read, write, and carry out directions
