Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting care provided by family members or caregivers. HHA assignments may include home health assistance, meal preparation, ambulation, treatment assistance, and reporting changes in the patient's condition. The position offers a career focused on compassion, growth, and making a difference in the lives of others.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Meeting personnel qualifications (42 C.F.R. Section 484.4 and 484.36)
- Documentation of 75 hours of training (42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36(a)(1) and (b))
- Successful Completion of a Competency Evaluation
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT)
