Job Description
The VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care services to hospice patients, augmenting care by working alongside family members or caregivers. This role involves performing tasks such as meal preparation, hygiene assistance, ambulation support, and assisting with prescribed treatments, adhering to a written assignment and following established protocols. They may assist with patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Documented evidence of 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
- Documented evidence of successfully completing a Competency Evaluation program as described in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36(b)
