VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) are non-exempt employees responsible for providing personal care to hospice patients, augmenting care by the family and caregivers. They perform assigned personal care activities and may assist with treatments prescribed by a physician. Training is required and certification is a must.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 60 hours of training as per 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36
- Documentation of 75 hours of training as per 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36 (a)(1)
- Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation program as per 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36 (b)
