Home Health Aide (HHA)

VITAS Home Health Aides provide personal care to hospice patients, performing activities like home health assistance, meal preparation, ambulation, and assisting with treatments. They are trained to augment family care, work under the supervision of a nurse, and contribute to a supportive, people-focused team dedicated to providing excellent end-of-life care.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 60 hours of documented training
• Competency Evaluation passed
• State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT, IL, MO)
• Ability to travel
