Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides provide personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care provided by family members or caregivers. This includes physical assistance with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation, and assisting with treatments. The role is a full-time, on-call position.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 60 hours of training as required
- Successful completion of a Competency Evaluation program
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT)
- Ability to read, write, and follow directions
- Ability to lift and transfer patients
- Regularly lift and transfer patients, as required
