Home Health Aide (HHA)

VITAS Home Health Aides provide personal care and services to hospice patients to augment caregiver care, focusing on tasks like hygiene, meal preparation, ambulation, and assisting with treatments. They report to a nurse and must follow a written assignment, performing limited tasks unless specifically assigned by the nurse. VITAS prioritizes patient-centered care and growth within a supportive team environment.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Hospital Personnel Qualifications as specified in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.4 and 484.36
• Documented evidence of 75 hours of training
• State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA)
