Job Description
VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care to hospice patients, assisting with hygiene, meals, ambulation, and other tasks as directed by the nursing team. The HHA works as part of an interdisciplinary team and reports directly to the VITAS Nurse. HHA assignments may include tasks such as teaching basic personal care, monitoring vital signs, and reporting changes in patient condition.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- 75 hours of training documented
- Home Health Aide certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI) or CA
- State Allowable Training/Certification
- Ability to travel
