VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care and services to hospice patients, augmenting the care provided by family members or caregivers. They perform tasks such as home health aide, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and assisting with treatments according to physician orders. The role involves detailed documentation and adherence to VITAS's policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- 75 hours of training as specified in 42 C.F.R. Sections 484.36 and 484.36(a)(1)
- Successfully completed a competency evaluation program as specified in 42 C.F.R. Section 484.36(b)
- State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT)
- Ability to travel (depending on the role).
