Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing direct skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program. This role requires a focus on patient/family care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and documentation in clinical notes. The position involves evaluating patient needs, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain transportation
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year as an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit
- At least one year of experience related to administration of medications
