Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for administering nursing care to terminally ill patients, according to the plan of care. This includes direct patient care, assessments, monitoring, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. The role requires collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain transportation
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience (LPN/LVN in a hospital setting) with adult medical surgical unit experience
