The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct skilled bedside nursing care to terminally ill patients in a VITAS program setting. Responsibilities include patient care, evaluation, medication administration, documentation, and maintaining a safe environment. The role is heavily supervised and involves a collaborative approach to patient and family needs.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain transportation.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
- Relatively flexible work schedule, including weekends or rotating shifts.
