Medical Director- Hospice

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a Medical Director to oversee patient care and treatment within a hospice program. The role involves quality of care, physician supervision, and managing various team functions, all while adhering to high standards of care and ensuring the well-being of patients and families. The position requires a proactive and collaborative approach to patient care and support the team's success.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the principles and practice of primary medical care, with at least a working knowledge of oncology.
• Knowledge of palliative care with particular emphasis on control of symptoms associated with terminal illness.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients' attending physicians and hospice employees.
