Social Worker (SW)

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a full-time Social Worker to provide emotional and logistical support to patients and their families during end-of-life care. The role involves ensuring patients reach their wishes for finances and funeral arrangements, offering counseling, and advocating for their loved ones. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to providing compassionate and dignified care.

Requirements

• Ability to travel per job requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of community resources (or willingness to obtain this knowledge).
• Knowledge of psychosocial issues prevalent in terminally ill patients.
• Capacity to relate with others as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to provide emotional, psychological support.
• Equivalent experience of licensure (where applicable)
• Valid driver’s license
• Bachelor's degree from accredited school
