Job Description
vivenu is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team in Darmstadt. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining payment processing and billing systems for their global event ticketing tech platform. The company is rapidly growing and seeks a highly skilled engineer to contribute to building a robust, scalable, and secure payment infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in backend development, particularly in payment processing, billing systems, or checkout flows
- Proficiency in at least one backend language (JavaScript or TypeScript, Java, Golang, or Kotlin)
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, ideally with hands-on involvement in payment and billing integrations
- Experience in working with payment gateway APIs (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Braintree)
- Understanding of NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and message queues
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (PCI-DSS)
- Comfort in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP) and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
