Maintenance Technician

Volunteers of America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Salina, Kansas. The role involves performing general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. The position is responsible for the prompt and efficient preventive and corrective maintenance of the property to which assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Experience in general maintenance, including heating, air conditioning, electrical and plumbing equipment, and light carpentry is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with residents
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License & proof of current liability automobile insurance (name on the policy)
• Acceptable driving record, criminal history checks, and Community Service Registry Record checks
