The Recovery Coach at Voices of Hope plays a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey of recovery from substance use disorders, providing peer-based recovery support, and helping participants set and achieve personal goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Lived experience with substance use recovery is highly preferred
- Additional certifications in peer support or recovery coaching are advantageous
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Understanding of substance use disorders, recovery principles, and available community resources
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to complete I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification
- Ability to complete a background check (prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify an applicant)
