Front Desk Monitor

Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. The Front Desk Monitor answers telephone calls, receives and assists visitors, and controls front door access at the East 119th Street Veterans Residence, a permanent, supportive housing residence for formerly homeless single veteran men and women.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Polite and pleasant manner
• Efficient and firm
• Ability to operate a busy front desk/security operation
• Ability to perform diverse tasks with ease
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
