Clinical Education Manager - Palliative - Full-time

The Clinical Education Manager - Palliative is responsible for providing leadership support to the District Executive Director/Senior Manager in areas of clinical professional practice, evidence-based practice, staff performance management and performance improvement. They develop practice education programs, evaluate their effectiveness, and provide clinical guidance to front-line staff. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, current registration with a provincial nursing regulatory body, and a minimum of 5 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BScN, BN)
• Current registration with provincial nursing regulatory body
• Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
• Certificate or experience in Gerontology
• Experience in providing clinical education utilizing adult education principles and evidence-based practice
• Experience with wound care, IV therapy, and palliative care
• A strong understanding of education theories and frameworks, practical application and knowledge transfer
• Experience in a homecare setting is an asset
• Adult education certificate/diploma or additional education in adult education preferred
• CNA certification preferred
• CAPSE, HOSPICE Care certification preferred
• Knowledge of skin and wound management is considered an asset
• Certification in Palliative Care Nursing
• LEAP training is required
• CAPC training required
• Canadian Nurses Association certification in Community Health Nursing is an asset
