Protective Service Officer (PSO)

Protective Service Officers provide armed security and access control to facilities in the Washington, DC metro area, deter threats, protect personnel and property, and respond to incidents and emergencies.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen
• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 18 months of prior law enforcement experience
• Graduate of a U.S. civilian or military law enforcement academy or a federal/state corrections academy with firearms certification
• Eligible for deputation under the U.S. Marshals Service Special Deputation Program
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, and NARCAN from ARC or AHA
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
