Job Description
The Carol Bates Fellowship is a 8-month internship at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, MD. The Fellow will research and support learning and community engagement programs, audience engagement, and evaluation practices. They will collect visitor data, analyze it, and report on findings. The Fellow must have a Bachelor's degree in art/museum education, education, art, psychology, sociology, or another humanities discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in art/museum education, education, art, psychology, sociology, or another humanities discipline
- Detail oriented and able to follow data collection and entry protocols
- Comfortable approaching and talking with visitors
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate in a clear and positive manner
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and anti-racist research practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to interact with visitors for 3 to 4 hours at a time
